The final event of each month turns what we have learned into meaningful action through a fundraiser, service initiative, awareness effort, or community collaboration supporting a cause connected to that month’s disorder.
Our first MONTHLY SPOTLIGHT
Depression
For the month of November, The Missing Piece will be highlighting our first psychological disorder: depression. Depression is a complex psychological disorder that extends beyond feelings of sadness and can affect how individuals think, feel, behave, and function in everyday life. Throughout the month, we will examine the biological, psychological, and social factors associated with depression while exploring its symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, and broader impact on individuals and communities. Through education, diverse perspectives, and meaningful action, we aim to deepen our understanding of depression and the importance of accessible mental health support.
